John Rice, Berkeley Design's founding Director & chief designer has been beautifying his client's homes with his brand of interior designed perfection throughout London & the Home Counties for over 21 years. Many of which still grace the homes & businesses of many well known UK & international household names. His interior look now reflects the times we live in; creating crisp calming clutter free light and airy environments wired for every conceivable luxury.

Location

Berkeley Design are located in the heart of London 's true golden mile ( Mayfair ) in Berkeley Square House. Berkeley Square , with its romantic connection with the heady Art Deco era of the 20's & 30's is reflected in their company logo, including the nightingale dotting the ïI' in design. Berkeley Design serve clients needs solely in Central London , however they have made exceptions on one or two occasions.

History

In the early years, Berkeley Design's founder specialised in period property renovation & period interiors installation. Then it was a re-discovery for the owners of such splendid houses and apartments to know the true history and pallet of colours, furniture and furnishings that would have been enblazent in their period homes, in many cases re-created once more. Now they have moved on, cutting edge designed interiors can sit as comfortably in a period property as they do in a modern new build. And that's Berkeley Design's strength, holding a vast wealth of knowledge of the past, but embracing the future with much vigour and excitement, always looking to lead the field in innovation. This is no more evident than in one of their exciting new areas of expertise ¿ ïurban roof gardens' ¿ offering clients the ability to live and enjoy London at its best.

Service

Each renovation/refurbishment is registered with the Considerate Constructor's Scheme and Berkeley Design encourage their client's friends & neighbours to visit the site office to oversee work in progress and air any views. They also make sure that all site waste is disposed of in an eco-friendly manner, whilst vigorously policing all suppliers' furniture, wood floors etc, to ensure that hard & soft woods are grown in sustainable forests.
