Bovey Castle, set within 368 square miles of the Dartmoor National Park, Devon in South West England provides guests with a private and tranquil haven complemented by a style, quality and ambience often aspired to but rarely found. Bovey Castle is two hours and 15 minutes by train from London’s Paddington Station and also has excellent air and road links from London to both Exeter and Plymouth.

Accommodation

The Castle’s suites, staterooms and bedrooms enjoy a variety of views and are looked after twice daily by cheerful house staff who provide a friendly and attentive service. All of the staff at Bovey Castle pride themselves in their ability to humour, charm and service. For those looking for complete privacy, The North Lodge with two bedrooms is an exquisite home from home situated in its own private gardens overlooking the golf course.

Facilities

Set amongst wild and beautiful scenery overlooking the River Bovey, Bovey Castle is also home to an historic (1926) championship golf course and features 14 miles of fly fishing. There is a health spa, swimming pool, equestrian facilities, falconry, tennis and a major refurbishment of the Great House. Another unique feature is a movie theater on the property, available for leisure viewing in the evenings and for corporate utilization for conferences during the day. On the moor itself guests enjoy an exciting and challenging variety of off road 4x4 driving courses. Local activities also include hiking, quad biking, rock climbing, hang-gliding, fishing and canoeing.
