Overview

Rosewood's Caneel Bay is an exclusive resort, a naturalist's wonderland where the landscape is an attraction in itself. Location

Set on its own peninsula and bordered on all sides by the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea; Caneel Bay is made up of seven separate beaches and is located in the heart of the 5,000 acre Virgin Islands National Park.

Facilities

Seven secluded beaches border an expansive paradise of 170 lush acres. In this pristine setting, comfortably elegant resort accommodations showcase beautiful vistas of ocean or gardens, yet the structures - artfully built in the landscape - are barely in view. Guests can can sample a different beach every day for a week, enjoy a watercolor lesson, a Self Centre mind/body session, experience marine life and enjoy nature walks with the staff horticulturist amidst 2,000 different varieties of plants.

History

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, which manages Caneel Bay, recently upgraded the resort to meet its exacting standards of luxury and service via a multi-million dollar refurbishment project. Rosewood is dedicated to continuing the high standards of respect for the land and natural resources of Caneel Bay, as initiated by its founder, Laurance Rockefeller, benefactor of the adjacent National Park land.
