Background

Garry Hollihead's illustrious career has spanned two decades. Starting as an apprentice to Anton Eldelman, Gary rose swiftly through the culinary ranks including stints at the Michelin-starred L'Oasis Restaurant in Nice and the Savoy Hotel in London. Garry Hollihead is the Head Chef and co-owner of Embassy and Inn on the Green.

It was as head chef and part owner of Sutherland's in London that Garry received numerous accolades. Here he won his first Michelin star and the venue was voted 'Best Restaurant of the Year' by the Good Food Guide, it also achieved top ratings from the Egon Ronay Guide.

Restaurants

The list of restaurants benefiting from Garry's culinary skills are amongst the best in London - Les Saveurs, Morton's and L'Escargot, which was also awarded a Michelin star.

Cuisine

It is as head chef at Sugar Reef and Red Cube where Garry became firm friends with Mark Fuller (see picture). Their friendship soon culminated in Garry agreeing to be Mark's business partner at Embassy, which launched in November 2001.

In February 2003 Garry and Mark teamed up again to open, Inn on the Green. Based in Cookham Dean, Berkshire this is a fine dining restaurant with 9 rooms attached providing an ideal retreat from City life.
