Overview

Renowned for its high standards, excellence in service, and glorious interior, Hambleton Hall offers exceptional wining and dining in its award-winning restaurant. Michelin star Chef, Aaron Patterson, and his highly skilled team use only the best local produce and the dishes have a strong seasonal bias producing quite brilliant, assured cooking.

Location

Hambleton Hall is located in the heart of Rutland, less than two hours journey from London. While Rutland may be the smallest county in Britain, it offers a whole host of activities and attractions. There is a wealth of local country houses, museums and historic buildings along with antique shops, fine art galleries and delightful gardens which are open to the public.

Aaron Patterson

Head Chef Aaron Patterson is a meticulous craftsman and an exuberant artist. He loves to cook and has assembled a great team of like-minded enthusiasts. The menu is strongly seasonal. Starting with truffles in January, wild salmon, asparagus, herbs and salads from the hotel's own garden, grouse, Scottish ceps and chantrelles, partridge and woodcock are found at their proper time. The starting point for all Aaron Patterson's creations is a respect for great ingredients and classical combinations.

Service

Aaron Patterson's efforts would be wasted without his ambassadors in the restaurant whose role it is to help guests find the dishes they will enjoy most and orchestrate the smooth progression of their meals. The wine list is a joy, coupled with the unparalleled sommeliership of Dominique Baduel who will recommend the perfect choice of wine to compliment every meal.
