Overview

Hayman presents a unique private island experience of natural beauty, tranquility and adventure. The resort is the only facility on the island and buildings, housing the accommodation, restaurants, guest service areas, marine facilities and operational plant, have been designed to blend in with the natural beauty of the surroundings. No part of the resort is higher than four stories and throughout, shady ponds and gentle waterfalls thread their way among beautiful gardens, spacious walkways and open air lanais.

Location

Hayman is Australia's most celebrated private island destination, beautifully situated in the magnificent Great Barrier Reef and presenting an array of unique and memorable resort and Reef experiences. A continental island of some 294 hectares, rising to 250 metres at its highest point, the resort is located on the southerly shore fronted by a sweeping sandy beach and surrounded by 14 hectares of lush tropical gardens. Beyond the beach lies an 800 metre wide sand flat with the crystal clear waters surrounding Hayman a kaleidoscope of coloured coral and tropical fish.

Hayman provides unique culinary indulgences and an ideal setting for exciting sporting pursuits and relaxing leisure activities, whilst The Retreat invites guests to enjoy a truly unique, experiential relaxation and wellness destination. Built around a stunning white sand beachfront on the south-western side of the island, Hayman offers 244 guest rooms, suites, penthouses and a beach villa. Rooms and suites are designed to complement their beautiful garden, pool, lagoon or beach surrounds. Rooms are situated in Palm, Pool, Lagoon and Beach Wings, whilst suites are located in Pool and Lagoon Wings. Penthouses, located on Level 4 of the Lagoon Wing, overlook the Lagoon Pool, gardens, beach and Whitsunday Passage and offer butler service and use of the Penthouse Lounge. The Beach Villa is a beautiful retreat perched on Hayman Beach.
