Overview

What makes Healthy Escape so special? Exciting travel to interesting, remote and unusual locations, with the focus on recharging the batteries through healthy eating, outdoor adventure, little or no alcohol on some trips, in an unpolluted environment, free from the usual daily distractions, with like minded people who want to make a difference.

Programmes

All land based outdoor adventure and fitness programs cover a variety of skills needed to enjoy and survive the great outdoors in relative comfort! There are also a number of programs specifically aimed at either executives as well as those wishing to improve their health and wellness generally.

Many of the trips are expeditions in true "expedition style" with no motorised support. They have a "leave no trace" policy and cherish the wilderness they travel through. They spend time with locals, working with local guides whenever possible.

Lodging ranges from camping to alpine huts, castles, forts, lighthouses, wilderness cabins, tepees, igloos, bunk houses, lodges. Meals may be cooked on open fires, stoves, in lodges, alpine huts, with both traditional and international food. They use only the best equipment, coupled with highly experienced professional guides, essential for safe, quality adventures.

The Team

As a team, they operate as a close knit family, each team member is devoted to providing participants with a safe, exciting and memorable experience. They are qualified in trekking, hiking, scrambling, climbing, alpinism, ice climbing, mountaineering, wilderness first aid, back country travel, outdoor leadership, wilderness living, glacier travel, avalanche awareness and water safety techniques and much more. An exceptional team, with solid teaching skills, Phillip Hogan is the Operations Director. He has been involved in health and fitness for more than 25 years and has personally trained 14 world and Olympic sporting champions. He is a physical trainer, therapist, nutritionist and an ice-climber. Phillip organises the trips and is a program tutor. In 1996 he set up the first centre for integrative medicine in the U.K. He was Princess Diana's personal fitness adviser.

Environment
