Winner ‘Bar of the Year 2003’ TIMEOUT, Lonsdale is still one of the trendiest places in town with two bars: a first-floor members’ bar called Genevieve and the Lonsdale bar which is open to the general public.

Located in west London in the Kensington area the nearest tube is Notting Hill Gate.

The legendary bar team of Dick Bradsell and Henry Besant is still in place, serving cocktails like the Earl Grey Fizz, Bison Grass vodka stirred with Earl Grey tea topped with champagne.

Cocktails

Created by Chef William Cooper food at the Lonsdale is “global tapas” – tasty small dishes from around the world. Menu item include beef skewers with bearnaise sauce, gravadlax of sea trout with Oscietra caviar, asparagus and poached egg with truffle salad and parmesan to more adventurous recipes including foie gras sausage rolls, roasted hake with pepperonata and pancetta crisp and three tastes of Devon crab. All the dishes are executed to a standard not normally associated with a fashionable bar whose reputation has been founded on its cocktails and design.
