Encased in Italian marble, the lobby of The Michelangelo provides a wonderful showcase of rich Venetian and Florentine fabrics, lighting fixtures inspired by Roman cathedral torch²res, and woodwork adapted from original Renaissance period designs. Among the largest in the city, the 178 guest rooms, including 55 suites, are elegantly designed with European ambience, each decorated in one of three distinct themes: either art deco, country French, or neoclassical. Amid the splendor, The Michelangelo attends to the practicalities with multi-line phone systems and voice mail, high-speed Internet access, fax-printer-copiers, Bose Wave stereo CD players, two TVs, and mini bars. Upon request, the concierge supplies VCRs free of charge.
