Designed by acclaimed British architect Brian O'Rourke, The Berkeley features 160 individually furnished bedrooms and suites. Top London restaurants the two starred La Tante Claire and pioneering Vong take prime residency in the hotel. One of only two rooftop pools in London (the other at The Savoy), The Berkeley Health Club and Spa has a spectacular swimming-pool with panoramic views over Knightsbridge and Hyde Park with luxurious treatments including massage, aromatherapy and reflexology. A range of Christian Dior facial, body and skin care products is available as well as Dermalogica Spa therapy. The Club's high-tech gymnasium has excellent facilities, including the latest electronic cardiovascular equipment from TechnoGym, free weights and variable resistance machines.

The Blue Bar

The hotel's famous drinking-spot, The Blue Bar, has been a talking point of glossy magazines and gossip columns around the globe. Created by designer David Collins in his own inimitable style, John Galliano declared the Blue Bar to be his 'favourite home from home'. Its most outstanding feature is the striking colour of the room, which Collins termed 'Lutyens Blue'. The white onyx bar and a black crocodile print leather floor add to the sumptuous, individual feel. In the 50-seat bar, guests can choose from over 50 different whiskies, a wide range of champagnes, original and classic cocktails and a selected range of wine by the glass.
