Overview

The Inside Edge holds seminars and briefings on Travel Safety & Security. They specialise in day courses and for corporate clients, individuals of "high net worth" and those concerned about the personal security and safety of their family. The regular courses are designed to concentrate on client specific needs and are usually not for more than 8/10 persons at a time. Topics covered and advice given are on defensive procedures for kidnap and ransom (Inside Edge work with an International Insurance brokerage on such matters), and also includes terrorist, chemical and biological threats, risk forecasting worldwide, weekly situation updates and simple defensive skills advice. Inside Edge are not providers of close physical protection or C.Q.B training.

Location

In the UK, The Inside Edge bases its seminars, training and all its administrative functions at Coombe Lodge Country House and Estate at the foot of the Mendip Hills near Blagdon Lake. An area of outstanding natural beauty, The Lodge, with its art deco features, antique fire places, carved wood panelling and mock Jacobean corridor and grand staircase leading to spacious light filled rooms is 20 minutes by taxi from Bristol International Airport.

The Team

The Inside Edge team is composed of full-time consultants and analysts with backgrounds in a cross section of international corporate and entrepreneurial businesses, International and domestic airlines, shipping companies, as well as a wide range of UK and foreign government departments including the diplomatic and immigration services, the armed forces - including special forces and covert units once denied by HMG, law enforcement agencies as well as specialists from the world of journalism and the academic fraternity. They are supported by a network of first class correspondents worldwide.

Facilities

Clients are provided with fully equipped facilities for all training requirements, with en suite accommodation, and full catering services and a bar service available for The Inside Edge private and corporate clients.
