Overview

An African Safari at Ulusaba Private Game Lodge is something special. Whether guests want to go on a luxury safari drive or enjoy a guided African safari game walk in the open bush, they have more than 10,000 acres of untouched, unspoilt African bush to enjoy virtually exclusively.

Location

Ulusaba is situated in the famous Sabi Sands Game Reserve, one of Africa's finest Big Five safari destinations, flanked between Kruger National Park and the mountains of Mozambique.

Accommodation

There are two exclusive lodges situated on the reserve. One is perched high on the summit of a koppie (rocky hill) called Rock Lodge. Here guests will find spectacular panoramic views over miles of bush, the wildlife roaming within, the beauty of the lowveld (bushy glassland plain) below, all set against a backdrop of the Drakensberg Mountain range far in the distance .Safari Lodge is built along the banks of the dry Mabrak riverbed. The rooms are built 'tree house' style to give the feeling of being at the heart of life in the bush with fascinating views of the animals as they stroll past on their way to the nearby watering hole.

Activities

Twice daily game drives in open 4x4 game viewing safari vehicles and nature walks are included in the rate. The excellent game viewing experience is complimented by other activities such as stargazing, bird watching and moonlit bush dinners or sundowners (weather permitting). Their knowledgeable ranger and tracker will enthral guests with stories about the medicinal properties of plants, local beliefs regarding the wildlife and fascinating facts regarding the animals. At the end of the day, guests return to the luxury safari camp to relax at the Aroma Boma beauty treatment centre, enjoy a game of tennis, take a swim in the sparkling pool or workout in the fully equipped gym. Afterwards, they can savour an authentic meal under the African stars that is sure to tantalise the taste buds.
