Overview

Villa Gallici is located near the ancient and famous city of Aix-en-Provence, surrounded by the enchanting scenery of Provence, where a warm refined welcome awaits guests among the noblemen's mansions and châteaux.

Location

Aix-en-Provence was founded by the Romans in 122 BC. It was very important in the Late Roman Empire as the capital of the province of Narbonensis Secunda and, from the ninth to eleventh centuries, as the capital of the County of Provence. Today there still is a Court of Appeal, a University and an Archbishop's Palace. Marseille Airport is about thirty minutes from the city centre and a taxi service links the hotel to the airport.

Accommodation

The rooms, each furnished with period pieces, are spacious and well-lit and have every modern comfort: air conditioning, satellite TV, minibar, direct outside phone line and safe. All the rooms have a view of the Sainte-Victoire mountains and the suites have a garden or terrace. Great care has been taken over the details in every room. They are each furnished in different styles so that every stay is always a new experience for the guest.

Facilities

The restaurant offers a rich menu consisting of local Provencal and French cuisine accompanied by Bordeaux, Burgundy and Aix wines and is reserved for the hotel guests' use only. In the summer, the dishes are served on the terrace or near the swimming pool, and in the winter, in the elegant dinning rooms or beside the windows or fireplace.
