History

At Zanzibar Serena Inn itself, guests have at their disposal extensive watersports and recreational opportunities including an outdoor swimming pool with ocean-facing sundeck, round-the-island tours in native sailing dhows, scuba diving and snorkelling trips. In the evening there is special native Arabic-influenced entertainment. Guests also have access to a stunning private beach at Mangapwani, where they can enjoy a secluded barbecue and salad lunch amongst the shaded palms overlooking the sea. Depending on the tides, guests may choose to travel to or from Mangapwani by traditional Arab dhow.
